So get this – the ex-girlfriend texted for booty. I told her I was sick. She said she didn’t want to catch anything and hoped I got better.

The ex-wife called to discuss something about the kids. I told her I was sick. She offered to run to the grocery for me and bring over whatever I needed – popsicles, soup, juice, meds.

And there in a nutshell is the life of a divorced single dad… (I know, I know, I should find a caring girlfriend)

no…don’t text her for chicken soup. Suck it up and deal…thank god it’s not your weekend with the kids. : ) Sucks being sick and alone, doesn’t it? But worse being sick with a spouse who doesn’t care…that’s much, much worse.

As you might know, my little one has had a fever this last week, too. Today, at last, she got out on her bike. And this mama got a little sunshine.
