An odd coincidence -- I'd been reading this dude's blog since before I was separated....just for interest's sake. Several months after the separation, for no reason whatsoever, I had a dream about the blog dude. Nothing amazing - just sitting side by side and smiling at each other and feeling happy. We shared a mutual acquaintance and so the next day I contacted him through facebook. That was almost 3 months ago...and things are still going strong. Funny how life works sometimes, huh? When I came across this post and then checked the date, and no follow up….There are only so many blogs and sites I can access from work so I’ll be checking it often It’s great!
As a single Mom, it’s great to hear the guy’s perspective. It gives insight to men’s thoughts and reasoning.

Meme – she lived on the east coast and was planning a move to the bay area, but then was unexpectedly called home by her family who live in another country. She expects to return here at some point. We’ve IM’d a bit, but no word when we’ll be able to meet.

Meanwhile, I continue looking, meeting, dating other women.

We moved from Virginia to the island of Maui Hawaii in the mid-90's and for the 3 years we lived there I experienced similar instances of "connecting" with people back in Virginia and other former business acquaintances along the east coast of the mainland. I won't bore you with details, but suffice it to say that each incident was anything but coincidental and after the 3rd or 4th time I just grew to know it was just something that happens. I never dug deeper into the how's and why's behind these incidents, but they happen often and most people just write 'em off as weird or coincidences. Based on your description I suspect you had a real connection to this women for some reason.
