There's absolutely nothing wrong with just hanging out, but it's considerably less safe than being in public together, physically and all the other ways. I would only be comfortable with this at a man's home if it was after a few dates in public places, unless I'd been set up by someone who knows both of us very well. If I really like the man, I would much prefer dinner, wine and a movie at his place than dinner, drinks and a movie out, whether or not things had progressed physically just yet.

Good luck, zeet. Hope it's a great evening.

This hits home. I am actually trying to change plans with someone right now. We were thinking of dinner drinks and a movie, and I am now thinking wow! this is going to actually be an expensive evening, for just a quick get together. I suggested dinner at my place, wine, and watch a movie on my couch. We'll see what she says.

So many get-togethers are focused on accomplishing a goal: let's try that new wine bar, let's plan for that presentation we have to give, let's meet and see if we are compatible to date - are people these days afraid to simply be in the presence of another person and hang out?

Weigh in here or on my SV Moms post. Unless, of course, you'd rather hang out.
