I Have a Confession
Gentle Reader,
please indulge me as I get this big lie off my chest. I have a confession to make:
- I’m not a dad. – I’ve always wanted to be a dad, and I thought by blogging about being a father, I’d vicariously discover what it’s like. It seems pretty cool!
- I’m not single. – I have a beautiful wife. We’ve been married for five years. The thing is – she’s pregnant! Which means I will be a dad soon. That counts for something, doesn’t it? Her belly kicks so much, I’m guessing she’s carrying octuplets. We’re waiting for the ultrasound.
- I don’t live in a house! – we live in a cute town home in San Jose.
Dad’s House – Dating and Parenting by a Single Dad should really be called:
Husband’s Town Home – Waiting for Octuplets by a Married Childless Man
Now that those beans are spilled, please know that Dad’s House will have a post up on the Silicon Valley Moms Blog at 9am PST. And that’s no April Fool.

Wow. Well…for someone who isn’t a Dad, single, or living in a house, you’ve definitely got a gift for storytelling.

Dang, you guys (some of you are women…or are you? ;)) are good.
I’m really a lesbian with a long time mate who is also (what a coincidence!) expecting a child that was conceived with her twin brother’s sperm. Uh-huh, that’s our story and we’re sticking to it. ;)
I completely forgot that it’s April Fool’s Day today. Thanks for the “heads up” this morning as I’m sure more fun tales are headed my way.

So much April Foolery! I want to know, has anyone pulled off a good April Fool today? I tried on my kids, and neither were fooled. My son called me handsome, then said April Fools. (The joke is on him, because he looks just like me. Ha!)

For me…the best april fool’s day joke this year was one I almost fell for….Car and Driver’s article about the Obama administration forcing Chevy and Dodge to discontinue NASCAR involvement since they took federal bailout funds.
