I recall you saying that on my blog post about taking the N-Man's to the kid's symphony day. His current musical obsession is the trumpet and the cello. I commented over there but here's what I said: I think it's great you and your son share something like this. I think he's digging it because you ARE a cool dad. That whole "my dad's my hero" stuff. I'm sure it's true even if he would scoff at admitting so. I hope my kids will get my love of reading and writing. I'm not good at photography, painting or playing an instrument (I love listening to music though!) I hope you will continue to have this bond as he gets older. It's something that can really serve him well, the discipline to play an instrument is not easy. And then he gets to be cool like his dad. Double bonus.
