Hot Dad – Sexy or Old?
One funny thing about blogging is seeing the various comments that end up in my spam queue. As a single dad on the dating scene, it’s not too surprising the different types of products, services, and websites that get marketed to me.
But lately, there’s been a shift in tone.
Do spammers see a self-proclaimed Hot Dad like me as Sexy? Or just plain old?
Perhaps a bit of both.

If the question is sexy or old – and I say this as a 100% heterosexual male – it’s gotta be SEXY! Just based on your own posts, it seems you’re: in your 40s, work out & take care of yourself, have been married & have a couple of great kids, and do what you can for them. Also based on your posts, you could have as active a dating life as you choose at this time – with hot women as young as in their 20s. Man, if I was single and in my 40s and could land chicks nearly 20 years younger than me, I’d love it. Call me a sicko if you want; this is something many men think about!
I don’t mean to undermine the negatives about being a divorcee which you’ve pointed out yourself in, for example, the Mothers Day Fireworks post, but in the context of this post, wait until you’re approaching 60 to allow people to label you too old..if you were inactive, sat at the computer all day, viewed your kids as a nuisance, and did nothing but try to get laid…then maybe you’d be old. Old, as George Carlin said, is a state of mind, not an age.

It is all a matter of perspective! Age is what you make it. I know that I am redefining what middle age looks and acts like.

Sexy has nothing to do with age. And they say older men are after younger women, but that has not been my experience. I find that men my age are very much after my friends and me. And younger men even more so.
My conclusion? I think I said it. Sexy has nothing to do with age.

I don’t see why this question in relation to spammers is even an issue.
Spammers don’t care if you’re even a man. Honestly, I get sent the same type of spam in my box as you. I get spam for: Porn, pharmaceuticals, and hot female chat sessions. I am a chick, and people are still sending me junk mail for ads on how to enlarge my penis. I don’t have one of those.
This is one thing that you shouldn’t even worry about.

I heard once, dont keep condoms in your car. They can lose their durability by sitting and baking in the heat of a car, day after day after day. Meaning, well, you know what I mean…

I’ve heard that too about condoms. I typically don’t store them in the glove box. But if I’m heading out on a date where there’s potential for a sleepover, I’ll toss some magnums in the glovebox for the evening. I’d rather they were there in the car, than suffer the embarrassment if they somehow fall out of my pocket, or my date finds me packing!
