It’s Father’s Day weekend, and on Sunday I fully intend to sit my ass in a hammock and not lift a finger all day…
Well, unless that finger lifting results in a beer being consumed…

Cheers for father day!
I just discovered your site last week. I have been married w/ children for more than 22 years (happlily for the majority of them, we all have bad ones..)but I still enjoy reading your site. Fun learning about the dating scene in later years. My sister is “there” and keeps asking me questions as though I’d know the answer. I’ll have to send her a link to your blog!

even the moms and not parents: happy fathers day – we all have fathers, even if they arent all good ones!
dad, what did you do the first few fathers days after you were on your own? when your kids were still young?
this is my first fathers day alone! that is not exactly true, because last year on the night before fathers day, i told my Ex that she could leave, that I heard she had no hope at all for long enough and i knew she would not work on our marriage at all. Of course i was so upset with her that i just took our daughter and spent the day at the zoo and bumming around town. it was fun, but not ideal…gotta love divorce! ;-)

Oh, trust me…that burning the midnight oil stuff happens rarely with that little hurricane. However, the older ones do challenge me on it daily. I long for yet dread the teenage years!! Looking forward to stalking your blog a bit more. Nice to get a dad’s perspective on things. :)
