DM, I’m sorry, but I have to disagree violently. This movie F*CKING SUCKS. I had to drink heavily just to stand it and I’m a dork when it comes to crappy action flicks. The only redeeming quality are the two hot chicks, Baroness and Scarlet.

I’ve heard TERRIBLE things about the movie. That being said, I have a split movie personality. Luckily one of the personalities was a GI Joe OBSESSED kid who loves cheesy action flicks (Crank, Transporter…list goes on). I’m down.

You almost make these pumped up hunky heroes sound worth the trip! But, by 16 and 17 my two sons would rather obliterate through video games in the convenience of their own home. Of course, if I mention the curvy women in Kelvar suits… that may stir some interest. But I think I’ll pass; I’m not that big on chick flicks, but this one is probably not my cuppa “Joe.”

Thanks for the review and your follow up comments with more specific content. With an almost nine year old male in the house, it’s likely that this movie might come up as an entertainment option. We’ll skip it for now since the boy has asked to see something tamer already and I generally dislike movies with mucho mayhem.

I have not seen it yet. We saw the long line on opening night as we were headed to a chick flick choice.

Good Choice ! Things could’ve been worse. You guys could’ve ended up seeing The Time Traveler’s Wife, like my friend and I did.

Trinity67 – it’s extremely violent. They don’t just shoot at transport vehicles, they annihilate them with huge explosions. There are also people shot at point blank range. That said, 95% of the violence is either science fiction, or over the top, and I don’t recall blood, dangling limbs, or people writhing in agony. It’s more like video game violence.

There is one battle sequence that comes across as realistic modern warfare, which was a little intense. Seven might be young for this movie, but every parent is different. And if you talk to your son about it before and after the show, you’re giving parental guidance. The rating is PG13. IMDB says there is “strong sequences of action violence and mayhem throughout”, which is pretty accurate!
