I had a friend, seriously -- it wasn't me, who sent a bunch of raunchy text messages to his girl-friend (he's divorced) and that girlfriend (who I'm not sure she knew she was a girlfriend) turned around and let everybody she knew and he knew about it. My parents never gave me dating advice, as I really wasn't allowed to date at all. So after college I had no insight, and I was just thrown into the dating world as an innocent, sheltered woman. The only things my parents usually told me was to use protection and not get pregnant (if I could even get out of the house). They were scared I would become another statistic. Yet they couldn't guide me, because well, you know how I was raised. I was pretty much thrown to the wolves in the dating world when I got to college, and I learned a lot the hard way. I wish I had someone that had been there to guide me a little.
