I agree about the logical statement. I don't get overly emotional about things, and then just work to correct them after I hear what's going on. My son txted me saying he was arrested. His buddy stole a cd from Walmart and he got sucked in too. All I did was be very casual. Once I knew what was going on. We had a sitdown and a long chat... All he said was "Got arrested". I was "What?" "What happened?" .... [ nothing ] "What's going on, where are you?" .... [ nothing ] "I will make a call into the police." .. "it's okay. but you need to come pick me up" Sigh... there was way too many pauses in there, as he was txting with handcuffs on. and didn't want them to know. I didn't know how to feel about that, so I ignored it. as I was glad to hear from him. My wife does stuff like that too.
