There’s give and take in every relationship, whether you’re dating, married, or divorced.
When you have kids, a nice goal is to share the coparenting workload.
Tit for tat.

Your daughter will find a toga party at whatever college you send her to. Once she’s off to college she’ll have to do her own research, so let her do some (a lot) of the work. It’s hard to allow them to do that and make those decisions, but trust me, soon enough she’ll be making her own decisions and you won’t like them all and there will be nothing you can do about them. I have 2 very good kids, but I don’t like everything they do, but I’ve learned to shut my mouth and let them make their own mistakes. Otherwise, family life is all tensions. Let her do the work herself. Take a ski weekend and forget about it.

My co-parenting situation(if you can call it that)with my ex is so unbalanced that there is no tit-for-tat. I do all the heavy lifting while he undermines and then buys the kids off. The other ex does absolutely nothing to parent but he does make life difficult on the rare occasions he makes his presence known. I’d like to tattoo their forheads with some choice words though!

I wish…I do everything, just like when we were married except without the sex. I’ve had to stop keeping track of the inequity so I don’t go crazy.
