I went to art school and we had to do an essay. But it was a really easy essay and I don’t think a poor essay would’ve had much affect on your entrance into the school. I think I had to write about why my high school should have an art department and the importance of it.

I lucked out. I applied to San Jose State sans essay, and got accepted right away. I think it’s that way with state schools. I hate the essay process.

It is quite an involved process these days, isn’t it. And a lot riding on it. Fascinating to watch them go through it, and participate from the sidelines. Brings it all back, as though it were yesterday…
