Car Sex
What is it about women I date, and car sex? A few recent dating relations wanted to get it on in the back seat of my car. Actually, the front seat, too. Didn’t matter if we were parked or driving. Didn’t matter if we were actually dating. These women simply wanted car sex.
Yes, these are some of the same women who were crazy for couch sex in my TV room. Leather car seats, leather couch, …. you think there’s a connection?
I have to admit, car sex is incredibly hot. Mainly because it’s so friggin’ immediate – like, you gotta do it right now! No waiting to get where you’re going, get indoors, get into bed. Car sex can be an intoxicating rush. (Remember my sexy and funny wine country date with a latina who wanted to do it in the car, in broad daylight, during a traffic jam?)
But there are some major downsides to having sex in a car.
One, if it happens while I’m driving, it’s dangerous! I mean, there are laws against texting or talking on your cell phone while driving. You think car sex is any safer than that? (It’s probably just as illegal. But I like playing dumb.)
Of course, if you’re Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinsky as passenger, you might contend one form of car sex while driving is not really car sex. To which I say, you try driving when not having sex like that. Sheesh! Plus, there are some car sex positions while driving that make my head spin. (Advertisers won’t let me link to those sites, but you can google them all you want. And if you’re still reading, you probably should.)
A second drawback to car sex is that it’s incredibly uncomfortable. Doing it in the front seat with the shifting knob in the way? Or in the driver’s seat with the steering wheel poking at you? Back seat is a little better, but not exactly a king size bed (or even a couch!)
Finally, car sex when you’re a single parent with kids can mess with your head. Doing it in the very seat where my kids ride when we head to soccer practice is not something I take lightly. It’s not something I say no to, either, but that’s a different point. (I’ve learned to stock up on Armor All.)
And yet… more than a few women (and ex-girlfriends) in my recent friends-with-benefits past have wanted to get it on in my car. They’ll have me park on a dark street, or even just in my driveway. One sexy lover wanted car sex in traffic, on a busy road. Then they want to be taken. Or they jump me. It’s like caveman days.
And maybe that’s part of the allure.

While I’m not really complaining about car sex, (Fred Flintstone can eat his heart out), I am curious why – years after high school, when both of us actually own a bed in a comfortable room where we can spoon naked in ten-billion thread-count sheets – why is uncomfortable, dangerous, dirty car sex such an allure to some single women I meet?
Then again, I think I just answered my uncomfortable dangerous dirty question.

wow.. can’t say I’ve ever had car sex.. I’m a prude! Plus my dad was the chief of police when I was in HS so that wouldn’t have been good to get caught by him!
BUT I’d have to agree with Ginger…it’s immediate and you can get caught at any moment. The rush of the excitement! Maybe it makes them feel younger??!! Just a guess!

even when there is no chance of getting caught (way out in the country) it is hot – I think it’s about really wanting each other – I don’t reckon you can fake good car sex – it’s too damned uncomfortable and difficult (gear stick in right knee, bouncing off the steering wheel!!!) so you have to be right in the moment – in my book that generally means really good sex – love it ;0) (and as a side thought when your kids are young they climb into bed with you – yes – well you don’t think ‘eugh I had sex in this bed’ – as long as the car is clean it’s ok !!)

Yeah, I think its because some grown ups want to relive their hot teen sex days. (I never had those)

I think we still need to feel some degree of spontaneity in our lives. I didn’t have hot teen sex days, only some hot teen make-out sessions. But I *can* say that car sex can be GREAT, fun, hot, and just something NEW and out of the norm, unexpected from our otherwise routine lives and roles.
…in my humble opinion, of course. :)

Car sex is sexy. We like it because we shouldn’t and it is different. Plus, when you are driving, we get to “drive” you crazy and there isn’t much you can do about it.

I did the car sex thing a couple of times last year and it was totally memorable. Once was in the parking lot outside of a bar…after we were done, we went inside and got martinis. It was rad. There’s a edge there from possibility of getting caught, plus the high of spontaneous sex. I definitely recommend it.

I’ve done it in some interesting places while in a car (and oddly enough a van is way more hotter… extra room, more mobility, you can move seats around, dark tinted windows… crazy stuff is abound)
The most notable was going along I80 across Wyoming… straight rodes… if you hit 80, nobody cares… and lots of places to pull over.

Travis – when I was growing up, a teen neighbor who was old enough to drive bought himself a van, put a riser in it, wood paneling on the interior walls, shag carpet on the floor. We thought it was the rockin’-est thing on earth. And at the time, we were too young to understand that the riser was actually a bed, and the whole thing was a little love nest. Doh!
