bald man shruggingAs a divorced dad, my kids are with me half of each week, plus every-other weekend.

This past weekend I had custody of them.

And I barely saw them.

Where did my teen kids go?

  1. This is all too true, whatever the parental-unit-arrangements. They disappear. Except for when you need to drive them. Or feed them. Mine are trained to do their own laundry. We gather around the dryer. It’s nice catching a glimpse every now and then.

  7. The only way I see my teen is to encourage her to have friends over, then its pizza and wii games and I try to make myself scarce. At least we are in the same house!

  8. It seems you have lost a little hair over all this… c’mon it is not so bad.
Your kids are busy but as you stated- they want to be there for dinner with the family!
They love you, they love being with you, but they have their own lives.
    I too am living this.
