I’m a big Smashing Pumpkins fan, so I was delighted to hear they’ve just announced a 20th Anniversary Tour and a new documentary and concert DVD, If All Goes Wrong.
One of the discs in the DVD set is a full concert filmed during their multi-night Fillmore Residency in San Francisco last year.

When I saw The Pogues play The Fillmore in San Francisco, it was an all-ages show. To prevent (er, limit) underage drinking, the bar had a one-drink-per-transaction policy. Buy a drink, drink it, buy another, no problem. But you can’t buy two at a time, lest you pass a pint to a laddy or lass.

Whenever my family talks about their favorite music era, the responses are all over the map. My dad likes the 40’s, my mom the 60’s, my younger brother the 70’s, my older brother the 80’s. As for me? Whatever is current.

I have a rule with my kids regarding the car radio. If we’re scanning stations for something good, and we happen to land on a song by Bob Marley (or any other reggae artist), we immediately stop searching. We listen until the reggae stops.
It drives my kids nuts.
